Stories by Mail that Spark Joy and Confidence.
Created by Two Dads
Fable Letters started with two dads, each raising kids at very different reading stages. Like most parents, we were navigating an age where screens are everywhere and attention is harder to earn, not because kids lack curiosity, but because digital content is endless and frictionless.
We wanted something different. Something slower, more tangible, and more meaningful.
We grew up with the quiet thrill of receiving real mail. An envelope with your name on it. That sense of anticipation still exists, but it’s being drowned out by a world of constant digital noise.
So we created Fable Letters. A modern, analog storytelling experience designed to meet kids where they are as readers, while pulling them away from screens and into imagination. Each story arrives as physical mail, crafted to engage kids at their level, build confidence over time, and make reading feel special again.
No apps. No notifications. Just stories, curiosity, and the simple magic of opening the mailbox.
We hope you enjoy Fable Letters as much as our kids do.

Each chapter arrives as a beautifully designed, age-appropriate, educator-approved adventure that kids can’t wait to open. They unfold the pages, follow the journey, and grow with the characters througout the year.
The pacing is intentional. The anticipation is part of the magic. And the experience turns reading into a ritual your child looks forward to each month.

You can join any time. Your story begins with Chapter One, regardless of the month. There’s no “bad” start date.
Our stories are written for kids ages 4–10, with three leveled paths:
• Ages 4–5: Shorter chapters, rhythmic language, picture-forward layouts, and built-in prompts for shared reading with an adult.
• Ages 7-8: More plot movement, slightly longer chapters, and vocabulary scaffolding designed for kids gaining independence.
• Ages 9–10: Richer narrative arcs, deeper world-building, and more sophisticated themes that still remain age-appropriate and family-friendly.
Every child is different. The right fit depends more on interest and reading comfort than age.
Yes. You can select the gift option at checkout, add the recipient’s name and address, and we’ll handle the rest. You can also include a short note so the first letter arrives with a bit of surprise and context.
At the moment, our site can only process one subscription per order. If you’re subscribing for more than one child, you’ll need to complete a separate checkout for each subscription. It only takes a minute, and each child’s letters will be personalized and shipped on their own schedule.
Letters are mailed the 10th and 24th of every month. Subscribe before the 10th of the month to receive your first letter on the 10th. If you order after the 10th, your first letter will mail on the 24th of the month.
In a world built on instant everything, a real letter feels different. Each Fable Letter travels at its own pace, sometimes across states or oceans, carrying a little anticipation with it. That slow journey is part of the magic. Thank you for giving your story the time it needs to reach your mailbox.
